Jean Rathbone

I’ve worked in care for almost 40 years, gaining experience across many areas including care homes, extra care, homecare, and enablement services. I began my career as a care assistant and worked my way through different roles to where I am today. For over 15 years I have been a Registered Manager, but no matter my role, my passion has always been and always will be within care.My management background has given me experience in every aspect of this work. One of my proudest achievements was navigating a large team through the challenges of the pandemic with compassion and resilience at the heart of everything we did. I have strong knowledge of legislation, CQC standards and targets, and I bring great communication, risk management, and leadership skills to my role.I am qualified with a QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management, NVQ Level 3 and Level 4, and I’m also an A1 Assessor and Internal Verifier, to name a few of my achievements. I’d describe myself as a critical thinker, a problem solver, and above all, someone passionate about delivering the highest standard of quality care.I bring to Betamindes not only my experience and knowledge of the care sector but also my drive to encourage and support my team. I strive to be the best I can be, and I love inspiring others to push themselves, aim for excellence, and deliver care that truly makes a difference.
